The diagrams compare the layouts of a public central library twenty years ago and the present one.
Overall
, the main difference between the two layouts is that the current one has more varied functions compared to the old one. The section of children's books is moved from the northeastern part of the construction to the northwestern corner, merging into the newly-built storytelling area with two added sofas,
while
its original space is replaced by the lecture chamber.
Also
, the computer room is established to substitute the previous reading room which was situated in the south-western corner of the layout, and the corridor outside it is converted into the zone for all reference books by the adult fiction part, which is put to its opposite now.
Furthermore
, the enquiry desk used for book returns and tickets is redeveloped into a cafe, lying in the southeast, and the central part between it and the lecture chamber is applied for several uses,
such
as self-service machines, which was originally a zone for adult non-fiction books.
Additionally
, the tables and chairs placed in the middle of
this
building twenty years ago are removed today.
