town
called Harborne between 1936 and 2007. From an
overall
perspective, it is evident that the
town
witnessed significant changes, cutting down a certain number of plants
while
extending the residential area and opening more facilities for recreational activities. From 1936 to 2007, in the northeastern part of the
town
, the region around the river was developed into a residential area. The number of trees located in the northwest dropped significantly during the 71-year period. In the centre of the
town
, they built a new shopping centre and the post office, bank, and library remained. The sweet shop and butcher were both destroyed to make way for a supermarket. Opposite the post office, the flower shop was removed and replaced by a travel agency which is right next to the bank. The bike path in the southwest was redesigned as a road. In the southeast, the government offices were converted into a museum, and the adjacent farmland was turned into a golf course.
