The line graph illustrates the trend of opening new and closing existing

from 2011 to 2018. Overall
, it is evident from the graph that the trend of opening and closing dropped during the period of time from what they started.
The shops
which are closed in 2011 were above 6000, continued to increase just above 7000 in 2013 with a small dip in 2012 and again there was a slight drop
in 2014 accounting for an approximate count of 6500. In contrast
, the number of new shops
started at nearly 8500 in 2011, then
there was a significant drop
reaching 4000 in 2012. Following 2 years there was a stable increase reaching above 6000.
During the next 4 years, there was a sudden drop
and rise in the closing of shops
reaching as low as below 1000 in 2015 and spiking above 5000 in 2016. Also
, opening new shops
recorded a drop
