You have bought a new laptop computer and in a few days of purchase discovered a major flaw. Write a letter to the company. In your letter – introduce yourself – explain the situation – say what action you would like to company to take.

Dear Sir or Madam I am writing to tell you about the issue with my new laptop that I had purchased from your company. I am a professional photographer in Toronto and famous for street photography/videography. Mostly, I use the laptop to finish my editing and uploading work. Five days ago, I bought a new HP laptop from your official online site. It is a Pavilion-style PC with hardcore processors. In the first few days, it was working fine without any issues but afterwards, I faced a major problem with the battery as it was draining too fast.
However
, it is stated in the product's description on the company's website that it will continue to work for up to 8 hours straight. Unfortunately, it only lasts for one or two hours with a fully charged battery.
This
was a shockingly disappointing drawback for a well-renowned company. I kindly request you to take serious action on it and try to refund or exchange the product with a new one. I am looking forward to hearing from your side soon. Yours Sincerely Pal

  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
