The illustrations detail how West Park Secondary School evolved throughout the years, after being built in 1950. Looking from an
overall
perspective, it is clearly apparent that the school expanded, taking up more and more space in the surroundings. Going more into detail, as it can be seen, in 1980 the housing site was converted into a car park and a science block,
thus
making the original building the main one.
Moreover
, in the same year, the farmland next to the playground was turned into a sports field.
However
, the school underwent other major changes after 1980. In fact, as the diagram from 2010 highlights, the playground area was reduced in other to make room for the sports field, whose previous location was used to extend the parking lot.
On the other hand
, as far as the buildings where pupils attended classes are concerned, there was not any additional improvement.
