Hey Elon, I am so glad to hear you are visiting me so soon! I’m sure we’ll have an amazing time, but if you’re coming here, might you be able to pick some stuff up for me from back home? Sorry if
this
sounds like a list of demands, but can you get me some soda from back home? They really just don’t make it the same way here and I really miss that sweet refreshing taste of pop from back home. Can you
also
get me some magazines too? I really miss my mother tongue and I just want to read something written in it again. We can even read them
together with
some of that pop! What do you think about the day after your arrival? You would have some time to settle in and
then
we could meet in the city square to have some real fun! Yours sincerely,

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
