The graph below shows the percentage of people going to the gym every month in one country from 1990 to 2005. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
This
graph illustrates the different groups of
people
who go to the
gym
monthly in a country between 1990 and 2005. It is obvious that the proportion of the population who go to the
gym
monthly has increased in every
age
over
this
period. Generally, the younger
age
group
(18-24) and the elder
age
group
(35-44) dramatically changed from 2002 to 2010.
However
, the other two groups constantly increased. By 2002, the percentage in the
group
of younger
age
(18-24) had significantly increased from 9% to 55%, others gradually increased. After 2002 the younger
age
group
(18-24) had decreased relatively
then
going upwards.
Besides
, the elder
group
(35-44) had a generally opposite changing trend than the younger
age
group
(18-24). By 2010, the percentage of
people
going to a
gym
was highest with 55% in the
group
of younger
people
, who narrowly transcended middle-aged
people
in 1993. The elder
group
of
people
who got the third highest percentage experienced dramatic changes. The lowest number of
people
who go to a
gym
monthly is older
people
, which only had 11% in 2010.
