Walking is known to be beneficial for health and yet fewer and fewer people are walking these days. What are the reasons for this? What can be done to tackle this problem?

To maintain a healthy lifestyle, exercise plays a vital role in the person's
health
as walking or running helps to improve digestion, breathing, and the immune system of the body. It helps in the holistic development of the body.
However
, in
this
contemporary era, the walking exercise trend is reducing these days
due to
the hectic schedule of the
people
. To start with the first reason behind
this
declining trend is the change in the mode of transport. In ancient times,
people
used to walk to their workplaces as there were limited options to commute by other vehicles. As compared to today's generation, the senior
people
are fitter because walking helps to maintain the digestion flow and helps to sweat which has ultimately proven great for ensuring good
health
. At
this
time, every corner of the world has its cars and motorbikes to travel, which no doubt makes the journey easier, more convenient and time-saver but it tends to
people
to sit more rather than walk.
In addition
, the hectic schedule of
people
would be another main problem of
this
. Nowadays, everybody has given more importance to their work to grab the higher opportunities, to build up their future. In a fast-paced life,
people
are getting less quality time to spend on their bodies to maintain good
health
because of their full-time jobs. In the earlier years, the parks were fully booked with
people
but nowadays they are empty. To resolve
this
issue, Public awareness will play a huge role. To awaken society, the
health
organizations of the city should hold events not only regarding fitness programs which should include an hour of walking or running daily but
also
aware of diseases
such
as heart attacks, obesity, and so on. it may cause if they will not walk at least 3000 steps daily.
Moreover
, gym membership should be provided free by the government so that everybody can

benefit from it.
To sum up
, to build up a healthy life, and to live more, walking should be included as a part of daily life tasks. No doubt, it is hard to get time or to live without cars or buses but
people
should try to make a balance between both.
