What are the advantages and disadvantages of taking up a new hobby?

It’s a tricky dilemma for me since taking up a new hobby isn’t really something I often think about, but despite that, I suppose there are some upsides and downsides to it. I’d probably say for the most part, the one thing that stands out is that starting a new hobby can introduce you to fresh skills and perspectives.

, a second plus point could be that it’s a great way to reduce stress, keeping your mind engaged and providing a sense of achievement. But of course, there are a couple of shortcomings.
This
is a clear limitation that it can require a lot of time and effort, especially when you’re still learning. Another stumbling block is that it might be expensive, depending on the hobby, which could make people reconsider starting it altogether.
