The three pie charts illustrate the proportion of five types of books sold by a bookseller over the period of 40 years from 1972 to 2012. In general, the rates of adults' and children's fiction went up over time meanwhile others figure for the remaining fields decreased. Having looked at the given picture for more details, in 1972, the percentage of adults in fiction was 20% and rose by 25% before reaching its highest proportion of 45% in 2012. In the same period, the children's fiction figure accounted for 20% and witnessed a slight growth of 2% in 1992. After two decades, its rate reached a quarter. Related to the remaining books, the proportion of travel documents was 15% in 1972 and grew by 3% in 1992 before dropping to 10% after 20 years.
