The line chart depicts how many
stores
were closed and opened from 2011 to 2018. In general, the statistics for shops which were closed were more than for
stores
that were open almost every year except for 2011 and 2015.
According to
the diagram, opening
stores
presented a downward trend on average. In 2011, about 8500
stores
opened
while
6200 outlets stopped running business. After that, in 2012, the figure for
stores
which started the business decreased to 4000 and it rose until 2014 again.
Additionally
, the figure has dropped since 2014.
Besides
, it is worth noting that the number has remained flat during 2015 and 2017. The next year,
that is
2018, 3000
stores
opened. Regarding the condition of closures, it is noticeable that the lowest point in 2015 showed only under 1000 outlets stopped their business and the line displayed a V-shaped trend from 2014 to 2016. As for other years, from 2011 to 2014, the statistics ranged from 6000 to 7000, for the latter half of the years, the figure rocketed up to over 5000 in 2016. Since
