Planting trees is very important for the environment. Some people say trees should be planted in the vacant areas of the city and towns while others say increase housing facilities should be built instead Do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays,
cities
are expanding quickly, and people have different opinions on how to use vacant
areas
. Some believe these spaces should be used for planting
trees
,
while
others argue that more housing facilities should be built. I agree with the idea of planting
trees
because it brings more benefits to the environment and human health.
Firstly
,
trees
help to reduce air pollution, which is a serious issue in many
cities
. They absorb harmful gases and release oxygen, making the air cleaner and healthier to breathe.
For instance
, in large
cities
with heavy traffic, air quality often gets poor, and planting more
trees
can improve
this
situation.
Secondly
,
trees
provide shade and help to lower temperatures during hot seasons. Urban
areas
with many concrete buildings tend to become very hot in summer.
Trees
can reduce
this
effect and make
cities
more comfortable for residents.
Additionally
, green spaces can reduce stress and promote mental health.
On the other hand
, some people think housing is more important because of the growing population.
While
it is true that more homes are needed,
this
can be managed by building taller apartments or using
areas
outside the city for new housing projects. Sacrificing green spaces for houses will only increase pollution and make
cities
less livable. In conclusion, I believe planting
trees
in vacant
areas
should be prioritized over building more houses.
