The graph below shows the production levels of the main kinds of fuel in the UK between 1981 and 2000. Summarize the formation by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The graph depicts the volume production of three main fuels on an energy unit scale in the UK in an approximate length of 20 years from 1981 to 2000.
Overall
, it is clearly observed that petroleum remained the dominant choice of energy, although
fluctuated and reached its lowest use some years but then
rocketed to reach its pick. Whereas
coal decreased gradually over time whereas
natural gas usage surged remarkably.
To begin
with, the most fundamental fuel was petroleum with nearly 90 units
in 1981 which then
reached 140 units
in 1984, remained steady and fell to up to 100 units
again from 1986 to 1991, the time when found its way to rise and had the highest share, more than 140 units
by 2000. In addition
, Natural gas resources did not alter over a decade from 1981 to 1991, then
a significant surge occurred to increase its share from 40 to 100 by the end of 2000. On the other hand
, Coal started with 80 units
in 1981, which was the second fuel priority, but after a while
everything changed and led to it dropping dramatically to less than 40 units
in 1984. Nonetheless
, coal usage increased to 60 units
but overall
decreased from 1986 to 2000, when reached approximately 30 units
