Some people think that developed countries have a higher responsibility to combat climate change than developing countries. Others believe that all countries should have the same responsibilities towards protecting the environment. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Write at least 250 words. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Some argue that the wealthy nations of the world have a bigger responsibility in addressing

others think that it is equally the responsibility of a developing country as any developed country. I completely agree that the advanced economies of the world should do more to address global warming and
change
in
climate
as they are the major contributors to the problem and developing countries can only do a little because of resource constraints. Historically, the rich and the wealthy countries of the world, have been the major culprit in greenhouse gas emissions. Rapid industrialisation resulted in significant air pollution and environmental destruction resulting in rising global temperatures and melting polar

Hence

and expecting rising and poor economies to share their problem is far from right.
For example

the rising economies
like India and China have negligible contributions to the problem.

Hence
, expecting low and middle income countries to pitch in especially at time, when they are facing other bigger challenges

as poverty, malnutrition and unemployment is unfair.
In addition

is faced by the poor and smaller countries.

this
global concern.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
