Some people say that it is possible to tell a lot about a person's culture and character from their choice of clothes. Do you agree or disagree?

For as long as anyone can remember society has judged people's
culture
based on their choice of clothes.
This
essay will discuss the various views regarding how people are viewed based on their clothing.
To begin
with, clothes
has always been
Suggestion
have always been
a major part of our society.
This
is because it tells us a lot of about an individual and their
culture
. One of the main impact of clothes could be felt in the labour industry.
For example
, the clothes an engineer would wear to a drilling rig or a construction site would be different to what an accountant would wear to an office.
Furthermore
, it has
also
been argued that an individual's choice of outfit would either make or break their career.
For example
, a study conducted by Cambridge university some years ago, investigated the importance of selecting proper clothing for different
occassions
something you have to do
occasions
. The study showed two individuals go for a corporate job interview, the
first
person
was dressed in a smart
attire
while the other
person
was in a semi-casual
attire
. It was
then
concluded that the
first
person
stood a higher chance of getting a job offer in that organization compared to their
counterpart
Suggestion
counterparts
.
Secondly
, all around the world, nations with diverse cultures all have a common factor which is the kind of
attire
used for their representation. A lot of attires
has been shown
Suggestion
have been shown
to be really colourful which depicts the richness of that
culture
.
Furthermore
, in my country Nigeria, a
person
's cultural
attire
clearly depicts their tribe.
For example
, the clothes an Igbo
person
would wear for an
occassion
an event that occurs at a critical time
occasion
would be different from
an
Suggestion
a
Hausa individual would wear.
This
is because the difference in tribe directly affects the representation of their attires. In conclusion, I am of the notion that it is very possible to tell a lot about people's
culture
based on their choice of outfits. Choice of clothing could have a negative or positive impact on a
person
depending on their situation.
