Because of the global economy, many goods including what we use as daily basics produced by olher countres have to be transported for a long distance. To what extent do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Despite the fact that the transportation of items over long distance could affect the environment in a negative way, it could be beneficial for different areas of the world which do not have the opportunity to produce some type of goods. In my opinion, long distance transportation can bring about more advantages to countries compared to the disadvantages that it might bring. On the positive side, transporting goods over a long distance gives us a lot of choices. We can taste a variety of fruits and vegetables from all parts of the world.
