The threat of nuclear weapons maintains world peace. Nuclear power provides cheap and clean energy. The benefits of nuclear technology far outweigh the disadvantages. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nuclear technology has far more problems than it has benefits. Even though the fear of usage of nuclear weapons helps maintain
world
peace, their presence in the
world
itself is the biggest threat. I completely disagree with the fact that nuclear technology is in any way helpful to the human race since the horrors of nuclear
power
is not hidden from the human race. Nuclear weapons have presented their wrath at many occasions. The thought of using a nuclear weapon itself raises terror amongst people. One of the most damaging and chilling example of nuclear weapon
use
is the Hiroshima and Nagasaki attack on Japan.
This
attack had disrupted the normal life of the people in
Japan causing

Japan, causing
havoc and loss of property and life. The people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki still suffer from health problems after that nuclear attack. The dangers of the nuclear weapons are extensive and any amount of advantages cannot help alleviate the destruction that the
use
of these weapons can cause to the human race. It can uproot

and wreck havoc wherever they are used. It is believed that the
power
provided by nuclear
energy
helps cut costs and is usually clean. But, we cannot ignore the destruction that nuclear
power
can cause. There are many other resources that are being discovered that can be used in place of nuclear
energy
. There is a reason why nuclear weapons are used to put fear into the people so as to maintain
world
peace. Because everyone knows the destruction that these weapons can cause. So the
use
of nuclear
energy
to obtain clean and inexpensive
energy
would not make a difference if the mere presence of nuclear
power
can destroy lives. Nuclear weapons should be demolished and should not be used as a bait to maintain
world
peace since if these weapons ever reaches someone malicious it would cost lives. I believe that nuclear
power
should not be used since the dangers of nuclear
energy
are far more terrifying and life altering than the few advantages that it provides. There are many alternatives like solar
energy
or wind
energy
to obtain cheap and renewable resources and the
use
of nuclear
power
should be demolished.
