Some Scientists think that there are intelligent life forms on other planets and messages should be sent to contact them. Other scientists think it is a bad idea and would be dangerous. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Space has always been an enigma for mankind. For decades now, man has ventured into the unknown reaches of the universe. With the belief that space is infinite, a large group of scientists
believe
Suggestion
believes
that extra-terrestrial
life
exists and we need to
contact
them.
Consequently
, there are
also
certain people who think doing that would result in more harm and would rather not
contact
them. I personally believe that if intelligent
life
other than humanity does exist, we definitely need to establish a communication with them. The most important reason why humans should connect with extra-terrestrial
life
is because we can learn so much and grow. If we can get them to
co-operate
work together on a common enterprise of project
cooperate
, we can study their technology, their diversity, their genetics, their habitats and much more. What we learn from them can jump our advancement by leaps and bounds.
Secondly
, having good relations with extra-terrestrial
life
would
also
provide us with valuable allies. We can gain access to resources which we never would have thought to be available to us.
Consequently
, there are
also
reasons why one would not want to take the risk of contacting them. If there is intelligent
life
out in space, they would consider us enemies if we enter their territory. They might be looking for options of colonization, and may attack our planet if we come into
contact
with them. There are chances that the species are light years ahead of us and do not consider us of any significant importance. There are too many unknowns involved in trying to establish
contact
with
life
forms not native to us. With that, I would like to emphasize that without taking risks, there was no evolution. At some point in time, we need to make some difficult decisions to achieve something better and reach greater heights. As a huge fan of space and science-fiction, contacting aliens and building connections with them would be a dream come true. But on the flip side, I can understand the reason why contacting them would cause more harm than good. We will just have to wait and see.
