Increasing the price of petrol is the best way to solve growing traffic and pollution problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the above statement? What other measures do you think might be effective?

According to some people, the rise in
traffic
congestion and overgrowing
pollution
can be controlled by the increase in prices of fuel.
However
, I am of the opposing viewpoint and in
this
essay other possible solutions will be elaborated. In recent times, the
price
of
petrol
has increased rapidly. The
price
of
petrol
is connected to various other gears of the economy. Inflation rate increases with the upsurge of the fuel and with that there is a rise in the prices of other commodities. Lately, the
price
of the
petrol
has increased to Rs 114 in Pakistan from Rs 99 and it has caused

the consumption has not been changed. Every member of the family owns a car and uses it to commute from one place to another and it has raised
traffic
problems. Roads are blocked most of the times due to heavy
traffic
and inadequate space on the roads. The environment is getting polluted because of releasing energy from fuel and it is causing health issues. In order to overcome
traffic
and
pollution
problems, the public transport service should be improved so that people avoid using their personal transportation.
More public

Most public
buses should be provided with proper facilities and should be economical. With the improvised public transport, there will be less cars on the road which will ultimately lead to less
pollution
and congestion.
Furthermore
, proper rules and regulations should be set for road
traffic
. In conclusion, augmenting the
