The qualities and skills that a person requires to become successful in today's world cannot be learned at a university or other academic institutions. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Success is a continuous process and cannot be celebrated as an event. Some people think that the attributes and skill set needed to succeed cannot be cultivated from universities or other academic institutions.
However
, I disagree & believe that if one wants to carve a path for elevation these play a very important role. The

reason is that academics inculcates basic but diverse skills needed in the modern world to

one's self and be active in
global industry

as discipline & new age soft skills, namely, critical reasoning & data analysis are achieved by their curriculums. To illustrate, chefs that have ample experience teach amateur cooks to take the game to the

professional level and progress. What a better way to learn from experienced professors?

, the student gets well equipped with tested methods. Another reason why is important is that by having a certification or degree one's knowledge gets graded and tested which is

important. Recognised institutes provide for brilliant mentors and constant evaluation of the progress and learning. Even if it is upgraded the degree or diploma gives an edge to the individual so as to enter into the industry and the skill gets benchmarked as well. As success cannot be defined for being self employed or service, report cards are always instrumental in growth.
