Children should not be forced to develop good penmanship since computers and other mobile devices have done away with the need for having good handwriting. What are your views on the subject?

Improving children's penmanship, legibility, pencil grasp, and working on problem areas are all important things that need to be addressed. So, I do agree that, the parents should force the child to write by hand.
Firstly
,
hand writing
something written by hand
handwriting
is so important because it is on show to others and may be used to make judgments about us. Visual-motor skills,
such
as eye-hand coordination, are associated with academic achievement. Scientists have found that, developing fine motor skills in early childhood can predict not only writing success, but better performance in reading and math in elementary school. The rise of technology led to the fall of cursive handwriting. Especially in the digital age, when most of our written communication is done through texting on mobile devices or typing on a keyboard. Voice recognition software has even evolved which made it easier.
Secondly
, handwriting activates the brain more than
keyboarding
because it involves more complex motor and cognitive skills.
Nevertheless
, calligraphy is a predictor of success in other subjects, because good scripting has a positive impact on grades. Cursive writing helps students, both young and old, with dyslexia. To conclude, good handwriting has several benefits; improve writing skills, boost confidence, personality development. So,

me
being a parent, will definitely force my child to develop a long hand practice, which will be beneficial for him. I prefer every parent to help their child to practice good penmanship for their own better
