Accidents due to careless driving

on the rise these days. Some believe that punishing the careless drivers would improve safety on the roads.

However

, careless driving is one of many factors that cause accidents, and

hence

, I believe that mere penalizing the irresponsible drivers would not be a permanent

solution

. Let’s ask ourselves, is careless driving the sole reason for

road

accidents? What drives people to break

traffic

laws and drive

irresponsible

regulations are some of the key reasons that make bad drivers. It has been observed that most of the

traffic

accidents occur at places where the roads are in adverse conditions, or where there are no barriers between two opposite directional

traffic

lanes. When the

road

conditions are bad, it causes

traffic

congestion, and in an attempt of reaching their destination quickly, they sometimes commit offences, which are sometimes unfortunately fatal. Improving

road

conditions, installing regulated

traffic

signals are some of the methods to create a uniform

traffic

flow. I do believe that punishing the negligent drivers is part of a

solution

. The licenses of repeated offenders should be cancelled, or at the least, have them take their driving test on a regular basis. Penalizing

them

people in general

they

may

also

improve their driving sense, but I do believe that, in order to solve a problem, you will have to go to the root of it. Make the driving test stricter.

This

is a complex problem, and there is no simple

solution

that will bring about a change. To conclude, punishing the reckless drivers is just one part of the

solution

. A broader approach should be taken to fix

this

menace that includes educating the public on safe driving tips, enforcing higher fines, suspension of driving licenses, improving the

road

infrastructures.

However, cars tend to save more time and are convenient but these do lead to unnecessary congestion and pollution. Also, these vehicles exhaust natural resources and are harmful to the environment. This essay will reflect that there are more demerits in comparison to the merits of using four-wheelers.

Although there are more than 50 per cent of females who are employed in advanced countries, from CEO to COO positions are somehow occupied by males. Therefore, I agree with the notion that women should have a higher chance by now to fill the C-suite.
