It's scientifically proven that human understand pictures and diagrams more easily than the text and with less attention. But the downside is that, a viewer can grasp the pretty much same information as what has been shown in the films or television. In my opinion, reading books keeps

's mind active because it requires reader's full attention and imagination. One of the reasons I believe books are better for the mind is because the readers need to understand and think critically to understand the text.
