The threat of nuclear weapons maintains world peace. Nuclear power provides cheap and clean energy. The benefits of nuclear technology far outweigh the disadvantages. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience.

The biggest threat in the world is by far the nuclear weapon.
This
may have a positive side because It could contribute to enforcing peace.
Nevertheless
, I don’t agree with it, since there are too many wars, actually. The only positive side aspect concerns the development of new technologies. It is said that nuclear power provides cheap energy, but it is not enough: dross is produced by nuclear The system doesn’t help the environment, as they increase pollution. Nowadays, there are loads of more efficient ways to make energy and the better one is definitely the GREEN POWER. Not so many years ago, a terrible incident took place in Chernobyl. It was
such
a horrible event Because of the environmental damages. In 1986, even thought I was only a child, it has affected me for life: lots of people have suffered from different diseases,
such
as cancer, not only in Ukraine but in neighbouring countries, as well. My country has forbidden nuclear power after a popular referendum and we often accommodate Chernobyl citizens in Italy. In
this
way, we share our cultures and habits, by making us more open- minded. According to me, Chernobyl’s disaster has to teach us that we should increase green power.
