Some people feel that paparazzi should not follow celebrities and invade their privacy by taking pictures of them everywhere, while others believe this is just the price of fame. Discuss both sides and give your opinion. Give reasons for your answer, and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Celebrities are a feature of every arena and are the people who have achieved fame through their art or skill. The term ‘celebrity’ is not limited to people from movies or sports, but
also
include any individual in a high ranking political position, CEOs, singers, dancers and artists of any kind. Once a person becomes famous or ascends to a high ranking position, it is very common to see more pictures of that person because of the
paparazzi
that follow them around. It is worth noting that there are two sides to
this
argument. There are people who say that getting followed around by
paparazzi
is just the price of fame, but there are
also
people who are against the idea of people following celebrities around and invading their
privacy
. In the following paragraphs, I will opine on both sides of
this
argument. In
this
day and age, celebrities are put under a microscope and all details about their life are available to the public at the click of a button. Celebrities are
also
very active on social media like Instagram and Twitter, and they boast millions of followers. People become very curious to know about their celebrities and they want answers to a myriad of questions. What is the schedule they follow? What do they eat? Where do they eat? What do they wear? What is their political stance? These are just a few of the inordinate amount of questions that people have. In order to answer a
lot
of these and bring to light candid pictures of celebrities, various news outlets station
paparazzi
around the house of celebrities and instruct them to follow them around.
This
is the main reason we know the answers to a
lot
of the aforementioned questions. Celebrities sometimes welcome the publicity if they feel that it gives them a better image in the public eye. Donald Trump always has a group of reporters and
paparazzi
on Air Force One and in the White House to let the world know what the President of the United States does on his official time. Movie stars and footballers are very used to
paparazzi
being stationed outside their houses or those that follow them around. They make candid pictures of these celebrities more accessible to the public. The other side of the argument is the issue of invasion of
privacy
. While celebrities love being in the public eye, they are
also
normal people who deserve their share of
privacy
. There are many celebrities who suffer from a
lot
of problems – psychological, financial, marital or legal.

such
people around when they are trying to get better through therapy or trying to win a case against them show celebrities at their lowest points, something that they don’t desire for the public to see. Just as you and I deserve our privacies at the worst moments of our lives, celebrities desire the same as well because at the end of the day, they are
also
human. The advent of technology nowadays has made it easier for celebrities to connect with their fan base. Through Twitter, they can post their thoughts and their inclinations on particular issues. Through Instagram, they post pictures of themselves, be it on vacation, at a red carpet, during a football match or at any other place that they might be.
This
accessibility eliminates the need for
paparazzi
because they share their pictures and stories with their millions of fans before anyone can catch wind of it. Dan Reynolds, the lead singer of Imagine Dragons, has been very vocal about the troubles he underwent during depression and his stance on LGBTQ rights. By being so forthright, celebrities eliminate any gossip about themselves. Their stance makes other people realize that “if a celebrity is brave enough to talk about their personal issues and have worked on it to get better, maybe I can too”.
This
inspires many people to talk to others about their issues and seek help. In conclusion, I would like to say that the life of a celebrity is one that comes with
lot

lots
of compromise. They will have to make peace with the fact that they will be followed around by
paparazzi
and should always look their best selves in the public eye. News outlets are always looking for scoops about celebrities and do not bother about invasion of
privacy
.
In addition
to their successes, all their low points would be pictured and published as well. In order to combat
this
issue, celebrities make themselves very accessible to their fans through Instagram and Twitter, thereby making the job of
paparazzi
more limited.
