With the rise in e-books comes the decline in paper books. Some people see this as a good step forward while others do not. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this trend?

A controversial issue today relates to whether people need to use electronic books more than paper books. In
this
essay, I am going to examine
this
question with positive and negative sides. On one side of the argument SOME people argue that the benefits of using and reading e-books considerably outweigh its disadvantages. The main reason for believing
this
is that e-books can be downloaded for a very cheap price and you can buy many books at once. Compared to
this
, only one paper book can be bought at an expensive price. The
second
positive side is that e-books can be read in the dark.
For example
, when the light turns off and you cannot read the book,
then
you can turn on the phone or computer and read the electronic book.
On the other hand
, it is
also
possible to make the opposing
cases
Suggestion
case
. It is often argued that in fact there is actually a significant flaw in e-books.
This
disadvantage is that people have poor eyesight due to the fact that they read for many hours behind the screen. The
second
point is that the technical means may run out of charge and turn off.
For example
, if you go somewhere where there is no connection and the charge may end,
then
you can read paper books without any problems.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
