1) The internet has transformed the way information is shared and consumed, but it has also created problems that did not exist before. What are the most serious problems associated with the internet and what solutions can you suggest?

The significant growth of the
internet
over the
last
decade has resulted in a radical change to the way that people consume and share
information
.
However
,
such
growth is combined with downsides that could result from its
use
. The
first
problem is the unguided
use
of the
internet
by underage people.
This
use
could expose them to damaging ideologies and dangerous strangers.
Consequently
, to remove
such
risk, a strict parental guidance is required for underage users of the
internet
. Parents need to closely monitor their children's activities, and make sure they are not sharing or viewing
information
that could put them at risk. Another major issue that could result from the
use
of the
internet
is data preaching or hacking. If people connect to the
internet
through the weak network, valuable
information
,
such
as their bank
information
and account password, could be preached.
Therefore
, individuals need to make sure of their network safety and its ability to block viruses and spams.
Additionally
, telecommunication companies that provide
internet
must do its part in protecting their network, as well as educating people regarding the spread of spams and hackers. Generally, people should not take their
use
of the
internet
lightly, by ignoring safety measures.
This
is because, as much as the
internet
is the greatest invention in human life, it could
also
result in a great disaster if used improperly.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
