Many elderly people are no longer looked after by their families but are put in care homes or nursing homes. What are the advantages and disadvantages of that trend?

We live in an era where senior citizens are no longer being taken care of by their near and dear ones. While putting them in old age homes or some nursing house can be beneficial for those who are financially not stable, it happens to be disheartening and unethical to leave them against their will by well to do families.
This
 essay will highlight both views. Many people are not wealthy enough to take responsibility of their parents or relative in their elderly stage. They need medical supplies, constant assistance and lots of attention which most of working lower middle class people are deprived of. In
such
 conditions, a nursing home is their only hope so that their loved ones can see better days in their
last
 innings of life. News like abandoning old parents due to poverty, killing them due to rising debt are
such
 examples of what good these nursing homes can do to overcome
such
 issues.
On the contrary
, using these government or NGO facilities to get rid of their responsibilities of being there for their parents are always a very unpleasant sight to witness. Rather to reciprocate the love and responsibility, leaving them dependent on the strangers is perhaps unethical and heartbreaking.
For instance
, interviews taken by NGO show most people miss their families a lot and are still waiting for them to show up. To conclude, leaving elderly people to old age homes has both advantages and disadvantages.
However
, it is suggested that families should look after them at the time where they need love and respect the most.
