Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary schools rather than secondary school. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

It is generally believed that learning a foreign

is important.
However

. I believe that the gains associated with learning a foreign

the downsides. On the one hand, the drawback of learning a foreign
language
in primary
school
is that it might become a distraction to the children and affect their grades. As we all know, the foundation of learning is set in elementary
school
and
this
is where the basics of life are taught.
Also

as a result
of the pressure gotten from other subjects being taught in

For instance
, the kids are being taught most of their subjects in

On the other hand
, one of the benefits of learning a foreign

in elementary

rather than in high

is that it would easier and faster to learn at an early stage in life.
This
is because, most little kids are willing and open to learn at

stage.
Furthermore

Also
, it

opportunities in the future as there are a lot of jobs that require foreign languages as a specific requirement alongside the general requirements. In conclusion, while the drawbacks of learning a foreign

are obvious, I believe that the benefits outweigh these drawbacks.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
