In many countries, a small number of people are able to purchase very expensive luxurious products. Some people believe that this is good for the economy, but others think that governments should not allow products above a certain price level. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

and high quality goods in some countries. It is thought by many people that buying luxury items contribute to the economy.
However
, others believe that government should put a ban on selling products which are above a certain price level. In my opinion, people should have the freedom to spend on whatever they like and prefer, and buying luxurious items helps the society through taxes. On the one hand, some people believe that people should be able to purchase expensive products due to the benefits they bring to the economy. The tax consists of a large proportion of any country's finance. When governments allow luxurious items in shops, it may attract the rich and the capital received through taxes might be used for the public good.
For example
, in Turkey there is an extra tax around %12 on luxurious products, and it is used for building public schools and hospitals.
On the other hand
, some people believe that the authorities should limit the purchase of goods which are above a certain price.
Firstly
, very expensive products can lead a great class difference among people.
In other words
, people can expose to different behaviours outside, depending on which kind of products they have.
Secondly
, people would be encouraged to pay out for something necessary or help others.
For example
, if there is no luxury item to buy the rich would give more of their money to the poor.
However
, I believe that
this
would be an authoritative action and it would curb the people's freedom of purchase. In conclusion, government should not ban the buying and selling of luxurious goods. The society benefits from taxes coming from these items, and people are free to choose whether they will buy something or not.
