Some people believe that exams are an unappropriate way of measuring students performance and should be replaced byents.continuous assessm Do you agree or disagree?

It is argued by some people that using a one-sit
test
Suggestion
a test
to measure students' academic performance in not an appropriate method,
instead
of
this
, several continuing assessments would be a better alternative. I totally agree with
this
idea. Assessing academic achievement through continuous examinations contributes to more accurate and more objective results about students' abilities.
This
is simply because the results of multiple assessments can constantly reflect a student's performance during different periods, which provides more reliable evidence about how well the student master the knowledge and skills. Another point is that the main purpose of assessments is to motivate students to learn. By attending assessments, students can be aware of their weaknesses and pay more attention to them.
This
is the way that they can improve their abilities,
instead
of focusing on the results of one
test
.
Additionally
, continuous assessments are
also
effective to reduce the impacts of other factors that may negatively affect students' grades
such
as stress levels. Students are likely to feel more relaxed in a
test
setting and demonstrate their real abilities with confidence as they know they still have other opportunities. In conclusion, I agree that one-sit
test
should not be replaced by continuous tests, because the latter method can provide accurate and objective
test
results. What is more, it is in line with the purpose of a
test
.
