Nowadays many people choose to be self employed, rather than to work for a company or organization. Why might be the case? What could be the disadvantage of being self employed.

The trend of being
self
employed is increasing. These days, several persons prefer to be entrepreneurs rather than working as a company employee.
This
essay will discuss the cause and
also
the disadvantages of
this
trend.
Firstly
, individuals prefer entrepreneurship because they want a flexible schedule.
This
is so because, those who work for themselves are not bound to a fixed office schedule,
therefore
they have the liberty to plan their daily events.
Also
, there is more flexibility in terms of resumption time when compared to the 9am to 5pm which most cooperate organizations permit.
For instance
, some business pioneers were offered appointments in a company, they refused because they would be bound to a daily schedule which would interrupt their personal lives.
Secondly
,
enterpreneurship
Suggestion
Enterpreneurship
gives room for creativity. Business founders, have the privilege to give out their ideas quickly because there are no multiple layers of hierarchy to navigate before approval of ideas as seen in the traditional employment environment.
For example
, entrepreneurs can give creative ideas to people and be credited for it.
However
, a disadvantage of being
self
employed is that, start ups are faced with financial burdens.
This
occurs, because the income may be irregular, especially in their early days and they could run for months without earning a profit while faced with the challenge of paying bills. To illustrate, during an interview of graduates who opened businesses, a majority mentioned that running a
self
business has a huge financial burden that could be frustrating. In conclusion, adjustable time schedules and creativity are causes of
self
employment, while the financial burden it poses is a demerit that makes it discouraging.
