The environmental problems that today's world is facing are so great that there is little ordinary people can do to improve the situation. So government and large organizations should be responsible for reducing the amount of damage being done to the environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge. You should write at least 250 words.

Nowadays, the world suffers huge environmental challenges that people are not able to handle alone. Governments and large organizations are considered to have a major
role
in facing these issues. In my opinion, I think that the involvement of the government and organizations is the key to success in limiting negative impact on the environment.
First
of all, governments should lead the process of environmental improvement.
This
is essentially achieved by introducing laws that force people to embrace good environmental habits and refrain from bad ones.
This
is important because not all people share the same level of
awareness
in regards to environmental issues, and no matter how high their
awareness
is they might still not find themselves obliged to follow good environmental routines. A simple example of
this
I can recall, is when the police officers stopped charging fines for car drivers who were not wearing the seat belt. I
then
noticed many drivers not wearing it anymore. Large organizations and society groups should
also
play a significant
role
in fighting environmental damages. Basically, their
role
should be working on increasing people's level of
awareness
. Government's laws are not sufficient and will not work in all situations. So,
awareness
combined with
government's
Suggestion
government
legislations can achieve the best outcomes. If we go back to the seat belt example, we notice that
awareness
plays an important
role
in changing people's
behavior
manner of acting or controlling yourself
behaviour
. For those who stopped using it, had they been convinced of its importance, they would have kept the habit of wearing it. In conclusion, we note that in order to ensure positive contributions and minimize risks to the environment, relying on people alone will not lead to the desired results. Governments' work complimented with organizations' effort can effectively help protect the environment.
