In nearly all science course at university, there are significantly more male students than female students. What are the reason for this? What can be done to balance out the number?

At university level, especially in streams like engineering, technology, programming, it has been found that the ratio of female candidates was drastically less in comparison to male students.

, when I was in university in the civil engineering department, the number of girl students was only 7 as compared to the class strength of 62. The reason for

 is quite less and it has been generally been observed that they are more interested towards design, arts subjects.

 stream on their website and many media platforms, other than that, they can make some celebrity like the CEO of Pepsi company Indira Noori as brand ambassador to promote technological subjects. These will throw light on the future prospective of the

 as a career and it will attract more female students in educational institutions for

 subject and on top of that if government will give waiver in the tuition fees will encourage more number of students and we will be able to create balance between the male and female students. To conclude, there is no objection that female students participate in field

 is less due to complexity and less interest, of students, but they can be encouraged by giving them fee waiver and publicising the benefits of

 for their career prospective.
