Our personalities are predetermined as a result of our genes before we are born and there is nothing that can be done to change our character traits. To what extent do you agree?

It is quite often believed that persona is pre-decided on the basis of the genes we inherit and cannot be amended. I'm not in favour of
this
statement as I believe that one can alter his/her nature. It can be done by making small and daily changes in our lifestyle. Development of personality begins in the early years of life. What the child has seen and being taught while growing up immensely affects what persona he or she'll get.
Furthermore
, people of all ages can learn from their social environment and make consistent improvements in their behaviours.
However
, it's true that genes does predict the way we look to some
extent but

extent, but
our nature is not completely dependent on it. A good personality can be evolved by honest self-evaluation and finding out where we are lacking. Knowing our weaknesses makes it easier for us to work on them. Having a positive attitude towards life in general will automatically improve your psyche. Consistent practice of controlling as well as directing emotions in the right path will in turn make a huge difference in the we we approach others.
For instance
, people with anger issues, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem,

tend to meditate to flush out negativity. Some indulge in regular mental and physical exercise to bring beneficial changes in their attitude. To wrap up, I would say that

Suggestion
the basis
of our genes is quite foolish. Personality is an

of a person. It completely depends on the an individual how he/she wants to be referred to as. Having a good set of qualities is a learnable skill and can be modified.
