In many large cities, people waste hours of their time every day because of traffic congestion on the roads. What are the causes of this? What solutions can you suggest?

One of the main urban problems these days
is
Suggestion
are
city dwellers wasting a great deal of time daily on transportation due to
traffic
jams.
This
is a serious issue because it affects people’s livings and
also
health both mental and physical.
This
essay will discuss about the main causes of
traffic
congestions
, followed by two possible solutions. Perhaps the most important cause of
traffic
problems is the behaviour of participations. Line-cutting, wrong side driving, stopping on highway… these are just some of several casual actions that can easily lead to a
traffic
jam. And it is mostly because of
congestions
that people being delayed on the roads. The other reason is due to quality of transportation infrastructure. Citizens always find it harder to travel on a smooth road than a rough one, and surviving through a road full of potholes wastes more of our time than we think.
For instance
, a small route of Doi Can Street in Hanoi, once was a broken lane that people had to spend at least an hour to go through, when a same good route with the same length only takes no more than 10 minutes. Fortunately,
however
, there are two possible solutions to
this
problem.
First
of all, local government should restrict the
traffic
law.
This
would help to improve the present posture of dwellers and prevent
congestions
to occur.
For example
, Vietnam’s government has recently given new much strict law with heavy fines.
As a result
, the number of travel jams has significantly decreased and local citizens
also
spend less time to travel.
Secondly
, the government should invest more in upgrading and repairing roads. Widening the road, repairing plot holes, constructing more highways and tunnels would reduce
congestions
. In conclusion,
traffic
congestion is a serious problem which is mainly caused by people’s behaviour, along with the low quality of roads. I recommend that the governments address
this
issue by restricting the
traffic
law and investing more in transportation infrastructure.
