Nowadays many people choose to be self-employed, rather than to work for a company or organisation. Why might this be the case? What could be the disadvantages of being self-employed?

In the past, most people worked for major companies and organizations while today self-employment is a growing trend. The ability to
work
from home, balancing
work
and life, and higher income, among other factors are the main motives behind
this
trend.
Although
being self-employed can be problematic sometimes, there are so many advantages that will outweigh the issues. Working for a
company
in many ways is the easiest way to earn money. There are defined responsibilities and a salary that will be paid at the end of every month.
However
, people have realized that by working as an employee, they do most of the
work
while most of the money will be paid to their bosses. They have found out that by starting their own business even a small one, they can make more money. Take graphic designers as an example, they can
work
in a
company
and deliver several projects while getting paid a certain amount every month while
in contrast
, they can find customers for their
work
and charge them for each project.
Also
, working in an organization can be stressful because of their environment. Most companies encourage coworkers to compete with each other in every aspect of their job which can create an unhealthy and stressful workplace. Meanwhile, being self-employed means not having a boss and the ability to manage
work
time as you wish.
On the other hand
, running a business has its difficulties. Most self-employed people don't have insurance and retirement plans.
Besides
, they have to find customers, draft contracts, and deal with finances on their own, whereas in a
company
these tasks are done by different departments. All these new tasks can be problematic at
first but
Accept comma addition
first, but
as time goes by, people adapt to their situation and learn how to manage their
work
. So,
as a result
, they benefit from self-employment as soon as the issues die out. In conclusion, stressful environments and lesser incomes drive people to become self-employed. Working in a
company
and being self-employed have their advantages and disadvantages, but I believe there are more benefits to self-employment than issues.
