Some people say that it is individual responsibility to protect the environment while others say it is the government's primary role. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Nowadays, the realisation to protect the climate is growing.
Although
there are those who believe that everyone should be responsible for the protection of the environment, others consider it to be the major responsibility of the
state
. In
this
essay, I shall discuss both points of view, and I shall argue that the environmental protection should be managed by the regime. On the one hand, some think that individuals should take the lead in protecting the habitat. They argue that since clean surroundings will benefit entire society, all the members of society should contribute to its improvement.
Moreover
, they say that the government can't be present everywhere all the time;
therefore
, it can't be made responsible for
such
an important issue. If every member of society takes it upon himself to minimise damage to the
situation
, the overall
situation
will improve and there will be no requirement for any official oversight.
For instance
, if every member of the community looks after the environment in his/ her neighbourhood, the
situation
will improve.
On the other hand
, I would argue that it should be the government's principal role to look after the
situation
. Every authority is accountable for the subjects of public interest
such
as law and order, transport, health, education, etc. The subject of the environment is no less important;
thus
, it should
also
be looked after by the
state
.
For instance
, law and order, which is equally important, can't be delegated to public for its maintenance because no single individual can enforce all the laws.
This
can only be done by the
state
, and
hence
, should be its prime duty. In conclusion, it is evident that the environmental protection, a vital subject of public interest, should be primarily managed by the government because only the
state
can force all individuals to follow the law.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
