These pie charts show explanations given by people for their travel by car and by bicycle. 30% of respondents believed health and fitness was the main purpose why they prefer cycling over driving to work. a similar number of them feels less pollution was the main reason whereas there were different reasons for some persons like no parking problems ( 15%),no-cost (13%), and faster than driving (12%) as their explanation for pedalling.
On the other hand
, two-fifth of those who chose driving a four Wheeler thought comfort as their main justification while 11% gave safety as the primary logic behind it. the other half of the surveyed individuals rationalized with various reasons
such
as distance to work at 21% ,faster than cycling (14%) and the need to carry things to work(14%). To sum up, various reasons were given for both the modes of transport of which comfort for driving and health and fitness as well as less pollution
