Individuals can do nothing to improve the environment, only governments and large companies can make a difference to what extent do you agree or disagree.

Individuals should adapt their behaviour to help improve the environment,
however
, the scope of what a single person can do is limited. I believe that governments and companies have the power to make a far greater difference faster. Motor vehicles are the main source of human carbon emission.
Although
it would have a positive impact If individuals would all choose to drive fewer pollutant cars. The reality is that aeroplanes,
for example
, consume so much fuel that those efforts could actually have very little impact overall. Recycling is
also
important, but does the consumers should be held responsible for plastic consumption and poor recycling, or should governments invest in better recycling systems, and companies change their packaging? Many companies could choose to be more responsible. They could use different material and redesign the way their products are packed.
This
would tackle the issue of people not recycling properly in the
first
place.
Furthermore
, it is the role of governments to invest in recycling facilities. Unfortunately, Very few countries have put an efficient waste management program into place. In my opinion, while it is important as individuals to be aware of environmental issues. Governments should take action, and companies should adopt more sustainable strategies.
