oss of bio-diversity. One of them is overexploitation of natural resources by human beings. Over extraction of minerals, oils and other natural resources lead to the extinction of them.
For example
, minerals take years to process and form, over-extraction of them at a particular time exhausts them and they are not available for several years in future.
Also
, the industries that dump untreated sewage into water bodies, hamper the aquatic ecosystem and pollute the water which could be used to drinking and other purposes. It should be
also
taken into account that humans have destroyed the forests and natural habitats of species and converted them into a concrete jungle. It can be
also
argued that pollution by humans has led to a depletion of the zone layer and
hence
results in global warming. There are a few solutions to
this
problem.
Firstly
, awareness should be spread amongst people to save the environment, flora and fauna. Chipko Movement was practised in many parts of the world to save trees. Heavy penalties should be imposed on the industries which eliminate harmful wastes into the water bodies and air.
However
, human activities have a negative impact on the world's ecosystem, leading to the extinction of the species and damage of biodiversity, awareness should be spread amongst people to protect the environment. I strongly recommend the inclusion of environmental studies subject in schools to impart the importance of environment amongst children.
