You have had a class discussion on space exploration. Now your teacher has asked you to write a composition answering the following question: Should governments spend so much money on space exploration when there are problems on Earth that need to be solved? Write your composition.

It is a matter of debate that the state ought to spend much amount on
space
expedition or not when
planet
earth
is facing many problems.
This
essay completely agrees with that the government should invest money on an expedition of different planets because most of the technologies are depending on it and
Earth
population
is increasing at a staggering rate. Many countries have their
satellite
in the
space
and they are controlling the internet through them.
This
is to say that we are using many things on the internet that are connected to the
satellite
,
such
as, GPS application and flightradar24, in which we can see the flights moving all around the world. Those states that have their own
satellite
have in the
space
have advanced in technologies.
For example
, the United States have its own
satellite
system in
space
so their overall internet and GPS system is better than those countries that do not have their own
satellite
in
space
. The
population
of
Earth
planet
is increasing at a staggering pace. That means the natural resources are being consumed more than ever before and we are
also
using them in a reckless manner.
For instance
, many countries in the world right now facing water shortages and it will keep getting deteriorate as time goes by.
This
means in future we have to find a replacement for the
earth
so some of the
population
could be moved there. In conclusion, it is debatable that the government should reduce their expenditure for
space
exploration to solve other problems of the
planet
Earth
, I believe that
space
expedition is more important because of the
population
of the
planet
earth
will be living there in future because of the shortage of natural material on the
earth
.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
