It has long been a subject of discussion whether spending a fortune on special occasions
such
as marriages and birthdays is a squander of
money
or it is necessary for the youngsters and for society as well. In
this
essay, I will discuss both sides of the debate and explain why I am of the opinion that spending
money
on special occasions is a wastage of
money
.
Firstly
, the most telling reason why spending
money
on
parties
is good lies in the fact that occasions like marriage and birthdays are lifetime memories. By celebrating them in a grand way, one can enjoy beautiful memories for the rest of their
life
.
Furthermore
, with the
parties
, not only can youngsters associate with their friends and family, but
also
they can meet new
people
which increase healthy bondings in society.
In addition
, marriage is a very big moment in anyone's
life
, celebrating that moment with the family and friends is indeed necessary for remembering it as a good start for a new
life
.
For instance
, if anyone who not celebrated anything in their
life
can not experience the enjoyment in their
life
. Admittedly, it is true that a lot of
people
in the world can not afford
food
to eat.
Instead
of spending
money
on
parties
and functions, giving
money
to the poor can help them to buy
food
.
In addition
, rich
people
celebrate
parties
and cook
food
in large quantities, which will be a waste and thrown away in the garbage. Thanks to the welfare organisations, poor
people
can get that
food
collected from the
parties
without wastage.
Besides
, a few
people
started celebrating marriages and birthdays by donating
money
and
food
to the
people
in need.
For example
, my brother celebrated his twenty-fifth birthday in an orphanage and served delicious
foodfood
Correct your spelling
food food
for them. Spending
money
on poor kids made his birthday more special.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
