 should be given non-custodial sentences. I agree with the latter opinion and in my point of ,view the final verdict has to be made based on the motive and severity of the
crime

 with, the main goal of the legal system is to maintain peace in society.
Nevertheless
, the conditions in prisons are equal to all prisoners regardless of the circumstances of the

. Many former offenders WHO/THAT have been put behind bars are prone to recommit crimes because society is conspicuous and untrusting towards them. Not only are the rules in prison often distorted, but
also
 people who are new there may be inclined to make wrong choices and fall in with the wrong crowd.
On the other hand

such
 jobs as cleaning streets, planting trees and working for charity urge THE convicted to learn cooperation and responsibility.
Moreover
, the results of their work may encourage them to make our world a better place to live IN.
In particular
, it is actually for THE youngsters, whose perspectives and ideas have not been established entirely yet. The statistics have proven the fact that if young criminals hadn’t faced

 problems as poverty and negleсt they would not have violated the law. Without doubts,
such
 harsh crimes as murder, vandalism, rapes should be punished to set an example for society.
However
, every person deserves another chance, and the legislative system has to evaluate the severity and circumstances under which the
crime
 has been done before putting offenders in jail.
