Fossil fuels are essential for producing electricity, powering industry and fueling transportation. However, one day we will reach a point when all the world’s fossil fuels have been depleted. How can we conserve these resources? What are some alternatives to fossil fuels?

Coal , Oil and Gas are some of the most important natural resources that we
use
every day.Fossil
fuels
are made from decomposing plants and animals .Unfortunately, fossil
fuels
are a nonrenewable resource .Definitely , we have responsibility for our environment by saving
energy
,
such
as reducing lighting
use
and by choosing transportation wisely .Alternatively, we can
use
another source of
energy
,
for instance
, solar
energy
and wind
energy
. According to the National Academies of Sciences,81 % of the total
energy
used in the United States comes from fossil
fuels
. Now, fuel conservation is one of our biggest concerns.
For example
, many people have a habit of turning on lights which they do not actually need,
besides
saving
energy
you
also
will save on electricity bills.
Also
, try cycling or walking to your destination
instead
of using a car , or
use
public transportation which can carry many passengers at once
hence
less fuel.Natural resources are very important for us.
That is
why it is necessary to take care of our natural wealth and
use
it judiciously. We can avoid the wastage of fossil
fuels
by switching to alternative sources i.e. solar
energy
and wind
energy
. Windmills
use
wind
energy
to produce electricity . Of course , solar
energy
is used to heat water , cook food and generate electricity. In conclusion, environmental education plays important role in creating awareness .Through environmental education ,people come to know about their rights and duties towards nature.
