Today, the high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the society in which they are sold. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

Presently, some claim that the consumption of unnecessary

is increased significantly because of advertising.

because of two main reasons.
First
of all, the advertisement not only provides information about the

but
also
uses advertising strategies to boost
sales
.
In other words

ads
are full of marketing tools that have the ability to encourage
consumers
to purchase their goods without considering the quality of

. Celebrities endorsement,
for example
, is one of the effective strategies which several businesses pick for making
ads
. Once
consumers
see their admired presenters in the
ads
, they are more likely to purchase these
products
, and the increasing purchases come mainly from the fact that the
consumers
are convinced that using the advertised
products
can support celebrities. Apparently, the
consumers
have the hidden agenda to purchase
products
not necessary.
Second
, the advertisement heightens consumer’s awareness about the latest released
products
. Basically, people tend to get bored of old
products
even they are still useable and easily get excited when they see new
products
on markets. For
this
reason, the companies may use
this
advantage to increase their
sales
by making
ads
. One of the examples here is that Apple company
sales
of the iPhone are great among the others. Apple launches the advertising before putting the product on the market to catch
consumers
’ attention and raise a desire to buy.
Therefore
, the information about the
products
which will be sold comes to the consumer’s mind unconsciously. In conclusion, personally, I totally believe that advertising is extremely effective to increases the
sales
of popular and unneeded goods because of advertising strategies and heightening consumer’s awareness.
