Fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) are the main sources in many countries, but in some countries, the use of alternative sources of energy (solar energy and wind energy). Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

Although
a number of
countries
are consuming fossil fuels as primary
sources
of
energy
, certain
countries
are promoting the usage of renewable
energy
,
such
as solar power and wind power. In my opinion, using
alternative
energy
is a positive tendency due to its benefits in the long run. On the one hand, there are a variety of disadvantages

fossil fuel consumption.
First
and foremost, the process of generating non-renewable
energy
poses a threat to human life. A prime example of
this
is that

of detrimental smoke from the factories burning of fossil fuels is the main culprit of air pollution.
This
is likely to increase the possibility of acid rain which leads to food insecurity and poor crop harvests.
Secondly
, the use of fossil fuels places a great burden on the economy of specific

On the other hand
, noteworthy benefits can be seen in the usage of
alternative

of
energy
. The
first
one is that

is infinite.
In other words

As a result
, the world will be able to ensure the availability of

resources for future increasing population density. The
second
one is that using renewable
energy
is eco-friendly. There seems to be no emission or industrial waste during the production of

.
Hence
, the change towards using
alternative
energy
would curb pollution. In the long term, climate change can be mitigated and human health may be ameliorated. In conclusion, I believe that it is encouraging to use
alternative

, so the world should completely replace non-renewable

energy
with renewable ones for the sake of humanity.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
