Some employers want to be able to contact their staff at all times, even on holidays.

Being available on
holidays
is naturally required for workers in some special professions, but
this
idea is
also
attractive for most
company
owners. Personally, I think that any point has advantages and disadvantages, so depending on the conditions, if employees are available during
holidays
then
this
may provide advantages for both sides. For sure it’s a huge benefit for employers to be able to contacts their staff on
holidays
because it leads to more efficient solving urgent questions. In
this
case, all
company
processes are well monitored and supplied. Same
time
this
looks like an extra load for employees (more working hours, less family
time
), so not each worker will agree to
this
generally. On other hand keeping workers available during
holidays
for sure will cost more and sometimes even a lot which is a disadvantage for a
company
but
also
a bonus for employees. Due to these contradictions, it’s truly required to find a proper way to motivate people with some rewards, like extra vacations or
company
shares, in exchange for their weekends. Some business owners mastered their diplomatic and negotiation skills in that extent, that can make proper undeclinable offers in all kind of situations. Despite working on holiday may be very well compensated it’s important to have work/rest balance in your
life
and after all, your
life
's
time
is priceless.
This
idea is very well reflected in the slogan “work for
life
, not a
life
for work”. So
nevertheless
potential benefits from extra work
time
with encreased payments may be attractive, but for sure there is should be enough
time
for rest and self-development.
