Some people believe that violence on television and in computer games has a damaging effect on the society. Others deny that these factors have any significant influence on people's behavior. What is your opinion?

There has been a ton of discussion regarding the topic of violence in television and video games that could be damaging human society by turning people into more aggressive behaviour. While some argue that spending an important amount of
time
in front of a screen watching
this
type of content is injurious, others claim that the real influence is minimal. I personally believe that aggressive behaviour can be learned, television and video games may have significant participation on
this
topic.
First
and foremost, there are scientific studies indicating that children who spend more
time
in front of screens do not develop certain social and intellectual skills that are important for their future development.
This
situation only aggravates when the content they are being exposed to is violent,
this
situation could trigger internal negative emotions in their psyche that will lead to future problems. Another important factor to consider is that, for adults or teenagers exposed to normalized aggressive behaviour, the loss of perception between what is real and what is not could lead them to perform criminal actions. On another hand, those who claim that violent content does not influence society may be basing their arguments on the fact that, in the

world there are people who watch a lot of horror and action movies or play sanguinary games and do not behave in a hostile manner. They may claim that
this
entertainment situation only triggers something inside the minds of those who are actually born with some psychological disorder that makes them belligerent. Another good allegation is that some, use
this
type of entertainment to suppress negative feelings from their daily life. It is my personal belief that everyone should spend less
time
exposing themselves to
this
form of leisure, more specifically, children and teenagers' parents should be aware of the negative consequences in their offspring's minds. I take
this
posture from a scientific view, our minds could be severely disrupted when watching a lot of blood, shooting, drugs, among others on the screen. All things considered, while it's a fact that violence only triggers more violence, it is an individual responsibility the
time
we dedicate to negative influence in computers and television.
