Some people believe that a lot of research is a waste of time and money. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is true that scientific investigation has been playing a significant role in today’s world.
However
, strata of folks reckon that it is merely a wastage of our precious resources
that is
time and money.  I partially agree with the viewpoint. On the one hand, there are enormous advantages of experimental
research
. The
first
and foremost is that  the tests have brought many unprecedented changes for the welfare of humankind. There were many fatal diseases with which individuals were dying at an alarming rate. But, with the accurate results of scientific testing, treatment of
such
diseases could be possible and
hence
, these are proved to be a boon for society.
For instance
, the recent attack of the covid-19 virus has taken away a million people’s lives. Residents all over the world are now able to fight against the pandemic only due to the medicines
such
as Pfizer, Covishield, Covaxine. The medicines are, undoubtedly, the result of experiments.
Moreover
, the
research
has helped to increase the fertility of the soil which in turn has revolutionised agriculture productivity.
Thus
, it is irrefutable to say that scientific
research
is a waste of time-period and funds.
On the other hand
, false outcomes of experimental analysis insist society believe that it is a waste of both valuable resources. Sometimes after long
research
, which involves a team of scientists and various expensive science  equipment, results are proved to be wrong. It causes

as well as government to regret it as the finances could be spent on other severe social issues
such
as environmental problems. To conclude, I strongly believe that
although
scientific
research
may have produced some wrong outcomes, it is still an inseparable part of life. It has immense participation in the growth of the universe.
